
Dr. Bruce Eimer is a Pennsylvania Licensed Psychologist, who
is licensed by Pennsylvania's State Board of Psychologist
Examiners to practice psychology. The Act 235 Psychological
Examination that Dr. Eimer conducts includes the following
elements:
1. Interview and History - Dr. Eimer personally
interviews the applicant in order to obtain a summary of the
applicant’s personal, educational, employment, and criminal
history, if any.
2. Required Personality Test - Dr. Eimer administers
to the applicant and then scores, interprets, and records
the results of a standard form of the Minnesota Multiphasic
Personality Inventory (MMPI) which is the standardized
personality test required by Act 235.
3. Other Testing Methods - Following the personal
interview and the administration of the MMPI, if Dr. Eimer
requires more information to be able to certify the
applicant's psychological capability to exercise appropriate
judgment and restraint in the handling of a lethal weapon,
Dr. Eimer is equipped to employ other psychological
measuring instruments and/or techniques to form his
professional opinion
4. Report - Dr. Eimer writes his report on the
standard
Act 235 Psychological Examination Report Form.
5. Submit Report - Dr. Eimer will promptly send his
report into the Lethal Weapons Certification Office of the
Pennsylvania State Police within several days of collecting
all of the required data from the applicant. Dr. Eimer will
keep a copy of the report and data in his files.
